Sigh, everyone is leaving
Rich left the day before yesterday and Natalia will leave tomorrow. Rich is the classic, all American good guy. Natalia is from Indonesia and I’ll miss her. She’s the first female muslim that I have had a chance to really talk to. She’s also very liberal, but very serious about her religion. In short, she’s very impressive and a lot of fun to talk to. Have fun studying in Australia Nat! Hopefully the new people will be as cool…
Luca’s Blog!
My friend Luca has one of the most popular blogs in Italy. He studied here (among other places) for a while. A really interesting guy, and nice, have I mentioned that he wants me to come visit him in Italy? One day Luca, one day… http://www.intransito.biz/blog/
Another Yemen Blog!
Rich is leaving tomorrow, but he’s a fellow American here at Cales. You can read about his adventures here. www.richinyemen.blogspot.com. I’l continue the American in Yemen blogging in your absence!:-)
A new home page
I got rid of my useless home page and went ahead and put the blog front and center. It will eliminate one page load that doesn’t do anything. I hear that it also comes up faster on google’s searches if the home page is updated more often. Anyway, I keep tweaking this site, I hope to be able to stop messing with it soon…
technorati, again…

Do I announce how "green" I am?

The Ledoux and IC factor…
I love it, a couple of days after I mention a woman I went to IC with, they both find my blog. A while back I mentioned Daryl Lynn, a bass player in a band called flashlight and she found my blog a couple of days later. I mentioned Michelle Ledeoux and it looks she found me as well based on the log of my blog. Michelle you out there? I’m just impressed that I spelled her name right, LOL.

Isaac’s rules about mullets
Here are two very smple questions to ask yourself if you have or are thinking of getting a mullet.
1) Are you David Bowie?
2) Is it 1976?
If the answer to either of these questions is no, then you have no business having one. One thing I can say about Yemen, the incidence of mullets is almost zero here. The men certainly don’t have them, and who can tell if the women do? I saw a tourist with one today (I think she was German) and I was struck at how few I had seen in recent times…
