Her students call her Mike&#8230; She&#8217;s from Japan and she&#8217;ll be in Yemen for two years! If that&#8217;s not crazy enough, she&#8217;s here as a table tennis instructor for women! There&#8217;s a push to get more women involved in sports here. One of the big problems is the lack of facilities here. The women can&#8217;t play in the same buildings as the guys since they&#8217;ll be out of &#8220;uniform&#8221; (don&#8217;t get me started on that&#8230;). Anyway, she&#8217;s been brought over to coach the girls in the finer aspects of table tennis. I used to play quite a bit back in college, but I haven&#8217;t played much since.
